Sales Operations Associate

The role
Location: Nairobi (hybrid in-person and remote)
The Sales Operations Associate will increase sales while overseeing the daily operations of the company including: sales and marketing; customer experience; production; inventory management; event management and participation; and managing the team.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organised and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities include:
1. Sales + marketing
Continuously research, identify, approach and follow up with prospective stockists, wholesale buyers and corporate gifting clients
Identify opportunities for promotions and marketing campaigns and support the team in implementation
Nurture relationships and cross- and upsell to past and existing customers
2. Customer Experience
Ensure excellent customer service across all touchpoints – both online and in person
Continuously enhance the customer experience – both online and in person
Manage and nurture relationships with suppliers, partners and consignment stockists
3. Production + Inventory Management
Oversee inventory management, including stock held with consignment stockists
Oversee production processes
Oversee order fulfilment, for direct customers, stockist and consignment orders and for gifting orders
4. Event management + participation
Research, identify and cause our attendance at events that are a good fit for the company (for sales and for networking)
Identify event opportunities for us to showcase and sell our goods
Identify opportunities and coordinate events hosted in our shop (e.g. showcases, workshops etc.)
5. Administrative Support:
Ensure maintenance of accurate records of sales, inventory, and supplies.
Manage staffing schedules for the shop and for events
Support with the administrative side of order fulfilment
What we’re looking for
Core requirements:
Sales Management: Proven experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, meeting and exceeding revenue targets, and managing sales teams.
Operations Management: Strong background in managing workflows, supply chain, resource allocation, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and coordination between sales, operations, and customer service.
Soft skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
Strong customer orientation
Nice-to-haves:
Expertise in process improvement and operational planning.
Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
Proficiency in logistics, inventory management, and cost control.
