Hi, I’m Lulu and I’m so happy you’re here.
I started creating products in 2014. At the time, I was running a graphic design studio and wanted an outlet where I could follow my creative curiosity without limit.
Fast forward to today and I’m still expressing my love for nature and for my home continent, through creating these art goods.
I firmly believe that creativity transforms the world and this informs what we create as well as how we bring it into being.
Our story
Lulu Kitololo began with a simple yet powerful intention: to use art as a tool for self-expression, connection and joy.
Founded by artist and illustrator, Lulu Kitololo, our shop has a home in Nairobi – a place where creativity thrives and culture runs deep.
Lulu’s journey as a Kenyan raised between cultures shaped her love for storytelling through colour, pattern, and form. What began as a solo exploration of art and identity has grown into a vibrant, women-led creative business, with community at its heart.
Our products – from notebooks to art prints and greeting cards – are all lovingly hand drawn, purposefully designed, and made sustainably.
Each piece is inspired by African heritage, the natural world, and everyday beauty around us.
We believe that creativity isn’t just for artists – it’s for everyone. That’s why our work is about more than just beautiful things. It’s about creating space for reflection, encouraging conscious choices, and celebrating your own uniqueness and inner spark.

Hand drawn
All our designs begin as hand drawn illustrations, creating a unique soulful and playful aesthetic. You can also expect funky patterns, quirky hand-lettering and LOTS of colour! It may sound strange but, “less is more” is a design principle we hold dear. See if you can notice it at play…

Everything we do is underpinned by kindness. Kindness to self: putting our health and wellness first – mind, body and soul. Kindness to each other: working with organisations that have ethical business practices at their core and wherever possible, working with women-led organisations. Kindness to the beautiful environment that sustains and inspires us: considering our impact in every stage of our creative and production process.
